Ken Block & Crew Tearing Up The Track BLACKEDOUT

This is an awesome video of the top drivers in the world. Created as the world’s first pitch-black racetrack with a course created from hundreds of beams of light, Ken Block, along with DTM drivers Augusto Farfus, Mike Rockenfeller and Lamborghini Squadra Corse test driver Adrian Zaugg, compete against the one-of-a-kind track. Working together to perform various synchronized stunts including a four-car-relay, other obstacles include the Laser Tunnel, Laser Drift, Slalom and Laser Box – all created out of light. One of the highlights is Ken landing his 2014 Ford Fiesta ST RX43 in a synchronized jump over Mike Rockenfeller’s Audi R8 V10, without using a speedometer and RPM, on a wet track due to rain.

Marbel – The Lightest Electric Skateboard in the World

Some people say, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” while other’s say, “technology is a gift of God.” However you feel about the addition of electricity to a skateboard, the Marbel board is the world’s lightest electric skateboard, weighing in at just 9 lbs. Lighter than any other electric vehicle in the world, apart from perhaps a miniature electric remote control car, the Marbel can reach up to 20 MPH uphill. Just one charge can give it 10 real world miles, which should be enough to get you to work between pushing and electric assistance. If that wasn’t enough, it can connect to your smartphone to customize your riding style and even control the throttle of your board. Currently raising funds for its Kickstarter campaign, you can contribute by visiting the Marbel page and watch their video.

See How a $15,000 USD Golden Skateboard is Made

A true father-son project, New York City-based artist Matt Willet came up with the idea of the golden skateboard and enlisted the help of his dad, who works at Epner Technologies in Brooklyn making gold-plated components for NASA. On the latest episode of Network A’s Dose, host Tim Brodhagen visited the duo to see firsthand how they make 99.99% pure electro-plated skateboards. Watch as Willet and his dad completely transform all the parts of a Shut skateboard complete, progressing through copper plating, nickel plating and finally finished with gold. The board is then polished to a mirror finish. The final product weighs nine pounds and is completely functional.

GOLD DEEDS had the privilege of being invited to the Budweiser #MADEINAMERICA event last night! It was still more than an hour before the show, but the line for the club already stretched the length of the building, and everyone was fidgeting uncomfortably as they silently reassured themselves the dead legs and achy feet would all be worth it once they got inside. Candyland was slotted to perform, as was Cash Cash. The performance from both was awesome! They kept the crowd engaged with the music, and provided over 3 hours of entertainment! Here’s short video casing the event:
